The Natural Flamy Red Hair
In the early days, the natural flamy red hair wasn't always red. Can you just imagine our beloved Red-Headed One in a striking shade of green or blue? And Emma was no slouch about her tresses either. Emma dyed her hair three different colors in one day just because she didn't fancy it (at least that's how the story goes).
Now that's dedication.
Quoth Miki, about the fab famous flamy red hair...
Miki: "The hair-dye was by Directions and called Poppy Red."
Miki: "One particularly sweaty gig in Hoboken (Maxwell’s, was it?)—it must have been early on because Steve [Rippon] was still in the band. The venue was so stifling all the dye ran out of my hair all over my face and neck. I looked like I’d been hit over the head with an axe."
Miki: "They just want to see my naturally flamy hair, that all. You're all just jealous."
Emma: "No, they don't."
Miki: "No, No! of Course not. They're really, interested in lyrics and what Chris' choice of drum pedal is, I mean come ON! This band would be nowhere if it wasn't for my naturally flamy hair!"
Emma: "Next time we need to lay down a rhythm track we'll get your hair to do it eh?"
Quoth the rest...
In the January 28, 1989 issue of Melody Maker, Chris Roberts pens that "Miki has purple hair and sings like a cutlass."

Create a Lush Station on Pandora Radio
There's a lot of online radio resources out there.... probably too many.
One I've recently played with is the Pandora service. You enter a band or song that you want to seed your listening on and it will customize a made-to-order station. The best part is you can thumbs up or down individual songs that Pandora matches to your musical profile. The more feedback you give, the better it works. And it's put me on to some new artists I was not aware of. The 'music genome' as it's called is not perfect, but I think Pandora is as good as it gets for radio listening over playlist listening.

Lush on MySpace
I've been dragging behind the social network curve when it comes to MySpace, primarily because I prefer Facebook. Well, it's come time to rectify that.
Lush • MySpace fan page
This Lush page seems to be affiliated with 4AD, making it as close as anything currently out there that carries some kind of "official approval." 4AD was the indie record label which signed Lush and a host other artists who went on to achieve a great deal of recognition.
Miki Berenyi • MySpace fan page
created by the Von Pip Musical Express
This will be old news to some of you, but I want to help get the word out about a few fan created sites that you know you want to friend on social network MySpace. I've seen so many web sites have come and gone, but the Lush fan has so many my resources to put their creative tributes into after a decade on the web!
